Course Description:

This introductory course is designed to orient students to the structure, expectations, and requirements of their academic program at Bahamas Baptist University College (BBUC). It provides essential guidance on navigating the learning management system, understanding course policies, and engaging effectively in an online and/or face-to-face learning environment.

Students will be introduced to academic standards, including attendance, participation, assessment protocols, grading criteria, and examination requirements. Emphasis is placed on time management, independent learning, academic integrity, and effective communication with faculty and peers.

The course also outlines institutional policies such as examination procedures, progression requirements, and consequences related to course repetition and grading thresholds. Students will be informed of the expected weekly time commitment for a 3-credit course and the structured scheduling of quizzes and examinations.

By the end of this course, students will be equipped with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to successfully navigate their program, meet academic expectations, and take full responsibility for their learning experience at BBUC.
